Add a CommentI was disappointed by this book, as I felt it was more about her love of beautiful things and perfect situations than about learning how to have a loving relationship. The most vivid descriptions are given of hand-blown pitchers, the colours of napkins and tablecloths, and the like. More mention of the joys of polishing brass (carried over from her other book, "Gracious Living in a New World"). Meanwhile, the only thing I found out about her husband is that he’s older and has silver hair! She seems all about creating perfect situations as money is apparently no issue for them, and less about learning to deal with what -- and more importantly, who -- you have.
