This topic is too large to cover in one volume, but this book presents a good, practical overview of the topic. Geared to the budget-minded DIY'er with an old car they want to restore to states ranging from "daily drivable" to "almost new" condition. For someone desiring a "show room" blue ribbon prize winner at Pebble Beach? Not so much. Topics. How to: deal with years of accumulated rust; rust-proofing; restore chrome plating; locating replacement parts; body panel repair; drive train repair; welding; rubber seal replacement; wiring; paint-choices; and painting. The appendix may be the most helpful section for someone actually doing a restore, as it contains sections on how to build an inexpensive parts washer; a DIY hydraulic press; and a long list of sources for manuals, materials, and parts.
