Add a CommentCreating a wordless picture book is very hard to do well. Wiesner does better than well in Sector 7. This story is every little boy's dream. The main character goes on a field trip, but is whisked away by a little cloud to Sector 7 where they create clouds.
The illustrations were engaging. The story was fun. I had no problem following along the whole way through. The book is created in such a way that it would be engaging for children of all ages. The book has a little bit of a futuristic feel.
Would I recommend this book? YES. For all ages young and old.
Very good illustrations.
A book that is wonderfully out of the ordinary. It's nice because even a non-reader can "read" the book and understand the plot with very little prompting.
Ever wonder about clouds? Where they come from? Why do they have the shapes that they do? Well this delightful story will let you see clouds in a much different way.
