Great book for beginners looking to dabble in soap-making for the first time.

Provided within are plenty of tips and tricks for a smooth first attempt at making your own soap. I will say that though many of the recipes enclosed call for fragrance oils, I am much more comfortable using essential oils as they are more pure and less likely to cause skin irritation. The only thing that could make it better would be a list of product providers and why they are reccommended. (For example, a consumer might be interested in finding out why a certain Chicago based essential oil provider is superior to the fad-like DoTerra brand and the brands provided at the local Bed Bath and Beyond.) Consumers might also be interested in soap making suppliers and corresponding ratings. Finding a great supplier for glycerin is nice, but if the company is outrageous in pricing for mica or packaging, it is even better to know about a company that provides most, if not all supplies at great quality and prices. A great book for those who have never made soap but would like to give it a try. Beginners will find that the process is much simpler than it may have initially seemed. Kids love to see a product made from start to finish as well, so it is a hit at our house.
