In the first of a series of adaptations of Aesop's fables, the insects live as modern city-dwellers. Kid A the ant works to prepare for winter while his friend Foxy G the grasshopper makes music. When winter comes and Foxy G is living in a cardboard box and starving, Kid A won't help him. Foxy G points out that his music enriched his friend's life, and that art is work, too, although it may look like play.
