I love Astro City. I read the first few volumes (Life in the Big City, Family Album, and my personal favorite The Tarnished Angel) about 10 years ago and it is a fantastic anthology series. In a city of heroes, we also witness how ordinary people deal with everyday life where supers fight crime and save the world from disaster. You get to see how a super-powered girl trying to be normal and play hopscotch at school, an old supervillain trying to enjoy his spoils and gloat that he wasn't caught, a possible dark future about the offspring of a superhero, and a the life of cartoon lion. Pure originality in storytelling from start to finish.

Another great volume! I liked the story of Junkman - a genius gadgeteer, fired for being too old who becomes a supervillain who makes things out of junk. Another good one was the story of hero Jack in the Box, who meets two villainous future versions of his son and has to figure out how to keep that from happening. As usual, lots of storylines, tons and tons of characters. Great superhero fun.
