If the psychologist is so talented, insightful, smart, how it was for him impossible to see the obvious? What for the conspiracy club? Just non sense.

As a mystery, it is more psychological than thriller. Like Kellerman's "Alex Delaware" series, the story is fairly gentle, with the gruesome brutality and murder at a remove from the reader and central characters.
