Taking a true episode of a literary hoax as a starting point, Carey jumps off real events into a wild and inexpressibly sad story of a man who starts as a fake, but ends up becoming a real person. He is a modern Frankenstein, the invention come to life, who can never truly live as a person but can't stop trying.

I loved it. I like to write so it was pretty fun for me to read. Didn't like the fact that Chubbs had to die, but overall it was really cool.
