I don't want to commit myself to saying this is above average.
But I don't want to condemn it to just average.

For those of you who suffer from migraines, Claire’s Head will resonate darkly. You’ll find yourself crying as Rachel scribbles in her journal “…I would have given up anything if it made the pain go away.” And Rachel has already given up a lot; her daughter, Star, now lives with Rachel and Claire’s middle sister, Alison, in Toronto. So when Rachel disappears, Claire, fellow migraineur, follows the trail that Rachel left in her desperate search for a cure, whether from neurologists or New Age healers. Claire’s discoveries are complex, and only in letting go of Rachel does she find her own life.

I liked the initial setting for this story; Toronto/Etobicoke because, having lived there, I was able to jump immediately into the story. I also have two sisters and can draw many parallels between my sibling experiences and Claire's.
