I loved that one question grappled with in this book was "What is reality?"

I found A Wind in the Door confusing and lacking the action and excitement of A Wrinkle in Time. It had a decent start, but once Meg and Progo started on their first task, it went really slow, and after a while it just felt like nothing was happening. Two or three chapters were spent with Meg trying to figure out the Mr. Jenkinses (and the chapters are really long!). Then, in the last half, they were in Charles Wallace's mitochondria; they couldn't even see or anything, but the story just kept going and going and going, with nothing happening! The ending was also very weird. I was looking forward to reading the sequel to A Wrinkle in Time, hoping it would be as amazing as the first book was, but sadly I wouldn't recommend it.

My son and I just finished reading the book out loud. Make sure you look up the words you don't know. Adds so much more understanding. It had a good message that all kids should hear. Lovely book.

I can't really compare "A Wrinkle a time"to this book ! Both the best book I ever read. Seriously, I reread them 3 times already!!!My favorite is always the ending part (last 7 page) for some reason...

Good book, enjoyable story & very creative. I did, however, enjoy A Wrinkle In Time more than this. I think i had a hard time with the microscopic level when they could not see but only feel. For some reason it was hard to picture as it was devoid of any kind of description due to the nature of the situation. Still a great book. 3.5 stars

Not sure why A Wrinkle In Time (admittedly a great book) gets so much more attention than this one, which I found much more engaging.
