I would never hop on a motorbike of any sort, but I do love travel! Ewan MacGregor and his friend, Charley Boorman, approach this trip with a sense of adventure, but embrace humanity and endure numerous challenges along this journey from London to New York, including Eastern European and Asian settings. It is worthwhile if only to learn more about the countries that they visit. Macgregor and Boorman are witty, yet compassionate. So good!

I'll admit that when my husband initially recommended this to me, my first thought was, "uggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Two rich guys riding motorcycles around the world finding themselves? Not my genre.

I binge-watched this and its sequel (Long Way Down) in a matter of days. The scenery is incredible and the resolve Charley and Ewan have is inspiring. The most enjoyable part to me, though, is the relationship these two guys have with each other. It's truly enjoyable just to watch them hanging out.

I highly recommend.

Can you imagine taking a motorcycle ride from Ireland, through parts of Europe and then the length of Africa? Wait no longer, because two british young men set off and have done it. Amazilng footage all along their way as they cross boarders into so many different countries. You would expect some danger and there was, you wouldn't believe how friendly people were to these two strangers and film crew. I felt like I was on the bike with them all the way. Definitely a well done documentary!
