Not hard to find the reason, the demise of the Cod fishery was self-inflicted.
Brings to mind words of some past great: 'there is a crowd of men....who are ignorant, that there is a thing called ignoramce...'
1497 - John Cabot's crew of teh Matthew pulls in wicker baskets of COD some, 6 to 7 feet long weighting 200 lbs; circa: 1990, draggers which scrap the ocean floor bare, pull in nothing.....
Lots of greed, infamy, dishonesty.
Makes Canadians look like sad spectacles, fools, small-minded idiiots. Now, these self-destroying people come west to run havoc over the land. Corruption, runs rampant.
This book just makes one sick.
