Greg and Tess MacAvoy are one of four prominent Nantucket couples who count each other as best friends. As pillars of their close-knit community, the MacAvoys, Kapenashes, Drakes, and Wheelers are important to their friends and neighbors, and especially to each other. But just before the beginning of another idyllic summer, Greg and Tess are killed when their boat capsizes during an anniversary sail. As the warm weather approaches and the island mourns their loss, nothing can prepare the MacAvoy's closest friends for what will be revealed.--From publisher description.

This is my favourite book by Elin Hilderbrand. I love how each chapter is from the point of view of one of the six characters. I feel like I understood the motives of each character and their relationship with one another as the struggle to discover what prompted the death of one couple. Not a depressing read by any means and very realistic. Hilderbrand's novels make me want to visit Nantucket Island. Highly recommend this book.

It's a very easy read and it kept my attention throughout the entire book. It's a bit romantic, not the Danielle steele type, but in the ideals and the setting. I would recommend it.
