This novel, and its prequel, Lost Island of Tamarind, are a ripping good story. The characters are compelling and the story is action-packed. I never feel that the author is writing down to the juvenile reader and can be appreciated by an adult reader. I wonder if there will be a 3rd in the series as all of the threads were not tied up at the end of this one. A good read.
