In an unnamed land in the not-so-distant future, Grace is raised to be an Angel, a suicide bomber trained to die for the freedom of her rebel society. But Grace refuses to die for the cause. And now she's on the run - but she isn't alone. Kerr, who has a dark past of his own, is accompanying Grace on her cross-country train ride. As Grace struggles to hide her secret, the fear of discovery looms large as she recalls the series of events that brought her to that train and her uncertain fate.

I LOVE Elizabeth Scott and I'm one her biggest fans but....this was one of my least favorite books by her. Even then it still deserves the 3 stars I gave it. She can just do no wrong!

Nice story. I love how determined Grace is on surviving. A bit confusing but a good book never the less.

It was a tense story, and a little bit confusing at first. And it wasn't her best work, but I can't bring myself to dislike it. I guess I still marvel at how she's able to switch genres of stories so easily-from light fluffy romances to gruesome realistic stories and then to stories like this. Stories about self-discovery and well, life. About wanting, and loving life.

It was nothing like I'd expected. I thought she would have to face down Keran Berj, and be a hero or something. But it wasn't like that at all. And some parts are still a little fuzzy to me, but I still think that Scott is a brilliant author. This story was inspired from her dream, and I can't help but recognize the signs of pure talent in all of her stories-how she manages to get her story across in a clear, but somehow poetic way, and in a way that's real and relate-able. This one was no different.

Grace was surpose to be an Angel. Die for the cause. When it was time though, she backed out and picked life instead. She wanted to see the blue sky again. She didn't want to go to the Saints up in the sky. With the help of a person named Chris she escaped on a train with a boy, Kerr who pretends to be her brother. They continue on the train ride learning more about each other and getting closer to the boarder, hoping they'll live through and be able to hide from those who would kill them without a thought.
