Featuring a new trim size and a new line look, Todd Strasser's acclaimed account of school violence that Kirkus Reviews calls "vivid, distressing, and all too real."

For as long as they can remember, Brendan and Gary have been mercilessly teased and harassed by the jocks who rule Middletown High. But not anymore. Stealing a small arsenal of guns from a neighbor, they take their classmates hostage at a school dance. In the panic of this desperate situation, it soon becomes clear that only one thing matters to Bendan and Gary: revenge.

Wonderful, really captures different view points on gun control and bullying, and the unfortunate relation between the two. Definitly a must read

I like how the book is made, with the viewpoints of several different people and the statistics on guns. More people should read this, as with all the bullying of today more people will try to bring guns in school. What Gary and Brendan did wasn't right, no, but if they hadn't been bullied they wouldn't have resorted to such actions. A powerful story with a message to end bullying.
