For connoisseurs of Lovecraftian experiences, an oblique German encounter. People and planet are inconsequential, collateral damage for The Color Out of Space. The b & w presentation aids and abets the sense of dread. See science horror featurette included on the DVD for an introduction, among other topics, to host/parasite relationships. This provides a critical insight into what's going on here.
