Emma has just learned that her mother is a long-lost Poseidon princess, and now struggles with an identity crisis: As a Half-Breed, she's a freak in the human world and an abomination in the Syrena realm. Syrena law states all Half-Breeds should be put to death.

As if that's not bad enough, her mother's reappearance in the Syrena world turns the two kingdoms--Poseidon and Triton--against one another. Which leaves Emma with a decision to make: Should she comply with Galen's request to keep herself safe and just hope for the best? Or should she risk it all and reveal herself--and her Gift--to save a people she's never known?

Once again, Anna Banks infuses Emma and Galen's points of view with humor, intrigue, and waves of romance.

Of Triton is an amazing sequel to Of Poseidon, starting off with Emma dealing with the new-found information on her mom who was a runaway Syrena, also known as a Poseidon princess. Now that Emma knows her parent’s true identity, another problem appears. As a Half-Breed, Emma is still forbidden from mating with Galen, and according to the Syrena law, should be put to death. If that wasn’t bad enough, reintroducing her mom as the long-lost princess may not have been the best idea especially with a new group set out to start a revolution against the royals. Will Emma stay hiding in the safety of land, or go underwater and use her gift to save the Kingdom Galen treasures so dearly? Although this was not my favourite of the two existing books, Of Triton was still a very enjoyable read that kept me on my toes. The characters were still just as likable in the previous book, except for being left a little less developed than I would’ve liked. In addition to that, the plot starts off quite slow which may displease many readers. It isn’t a complete let-down, but it also didn’t surpass the original. Rating: 4/5

Liked the first one more, but this is still a good read!
After that cliff-hanger in Of Poseidon I just needed to get my hand on this book. And believe me I'm not disappointed. Somehow on the run i.e. kidnapped by her mother, Emma and the recently revealed lost Princess of Poseidon are attempting to evade discovery. For Nalia, this means keeping her daughter safe from what is sure to be a trap. For Emma, this means an unnecessary waste of time as before Galen and Grom eventually find them. As long as Galen wasn't lying of course...
This book starts off at a medium-pace that is maintained throughout the book, where big revelations are made and dealt with, big conspiracies are unveiled and demolished, and the questions of Emma's Half-Breed acceptance in the Syrena community are answered once and for all. I felt this book wrapped up pretty nicely, not leaving me craving the next and final book, but also keeping me interested enough to read it and follow the lives of Galen and Emma just a little while longer.

I have really mixed feelings about this series. I really love Galen and Emma and the world that they live in but something about this book was bothering me. I couldn't figure out what it was until I finished Of Neptune. My only problem with this book is the plot which means I didn't like a big portion of the book because the book is about the plot. I don't know how to say this without spoiling anything, but basically for the first half of the book, Emma and Galen get separated and they are trying to get back to each other. The second half of the book was just about something that I honestly didn't care about. I felt like the problems that the characters were experiencing were drawn out excessively and it made it boring. The book was still suspenseful but it lost its touch because everything was just taking too long. I was really hoping to like this book more.

Of Trition was really good!!! I finished it a while back, and I literally couldn't put it down (unless someone forced me to)! I loved the romance between Galen and Emma (so cute!), and I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for Of Neptune!!

OMG this book was AMAZING!!!! Of Poseidon was incredible and Of Triton was just as awesome!!! There were alot of OMG moments in the book. I couldn't put the book down because I had to find out what happened. Galen and Emma make the cutest couple ever! Anna Banks is a wonderful author and I can't wait until Of Neptune I think it's called comes out!

This was a nice follow up book to the first novel. Not as much dynamic between Galen and Emma, but I did like the fact that more background info was given. This book focused more on how a family is family through thick and thin. Emma's grandfather was an awesome character to add and I really enjoyed this book!!!!! Can't wait for another?!?!?
