'The Doll' has a great storyline and was almost as good as Taylor Steven's debut, 'The Informationist.' The pacing of the novel and the primal drive and instincts of the protagonist keep the reader on the edge and thirsting for more.

2nd book on Munroe. Good read.

Nice approach on the human trafficking tragedy. Taylor really has no formula when it comes to crafting a story like so many other writers that you can see where the plot is heading two chapters in.
Very refreshing style that never takes the political angle only the human one.

Read only a small part, too much cruelty & depravity for me!

Good characters. This is her 3rd book, all good. Awaiting the 4th, THE CATCH.
I think she has done okay for herself, being an escapee from the Children of God cult.

"Vanessa "Michael" Monroe, the lethal polyglot (she speaks 22 languages) who keeps knives strapped to her shins, has just been kidnapped by a human trafficking ring. And unless she complies with their demands (to deliver a kidnapped young starlet to a client in Monaco), they'll kill her friend Logan. This either/or demand isn't to Michael's liking, so she's determined to find a way to thwart her captors and free their victims - despite thorough surveillance and the sniper on her tail. Though this 3rd entry is, like its predecessors, violent and bleak, the flawed heroine and her dark edge hold plenty of appeal for readers of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books or fans of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."
