Gillian Forrester spent her life running . . . until Miles came along. The moment she held her older sister's unwanted newborn, Gillian stopped running and began building a life for her adopted son. Now, thirteen years later, Gillian's sister reveals the father's identity on her deathbed-a revelation that shakes Gillian to her core. Adrian Brown is the epitome of the successful rock star. It takes a lot to shock him-but the bombshell that he has a son rocks his world. And Adrian is even more surprised when the buttoned-up elegant woman who's raising him ignites his erotic and romantic attention-and engages his heart.

Oh my gosh. I stuck through the entire Brown Family series and the Delicious trio because I'm a completionist that way. After that mass consumption the trend was clear and they can all be given the same review.

There are two types of scenes in these books. Characters are either having sex or complementing each other. It is a mutual appreciation society. They are boosting their friends' damaged self esteem telling them that they are amazing and deserving of happiness, celebrating friends' amazingness, or being supportive as a friend works through trauma from their past.

I dare you to find another theme.

This book was kinda boring. I expected more for Adrian's story. I loved the fact that he found someone and he has Miles but it read like a list of thing to do and have done. I wasn't crazy about Gillian,s friends either, they felt force into the book and like you have to like them and I didn't.
