A spell-binding cinematic experience from visionary filmmaker Peter Mettler that explores our perception of time. Working at the limits of what can easily be expressed Mettler finds miraculous unity in seemingly random things and dares to dream the movie of the future.

i agree with "casem" but must say that I found it had very fine photogaphy which is quite beautiful and varied but couldn't see much other purpose for the film..It should be a good one for an insomniac to fall asleep with as it is a quiet and visually pleasing experience yet disturbing to see deserted areas appearing to be like a "modern ghost town".

Visually pleasing but while linking time to our perception of motion (fast or slow) perhaps linking time in particle physics with geological time, I felt no closer to understanding what time might be. A bit more from what philosophers currently believe would have helped.

Slow moving but with a lot of fantastic footage: a man skydiving from a balloon at 102,000 feet, lava flowing from a volcano, plenty of other diverse vignettes intended to get non-thinkers to think about the phenomenon of time, what it is, how it manifests itself.
