Terrible book, has information in it that has been discredited for over 20 year(lactic acid section). Only valuable for people who have no advanced biology. Does not explain important concepts. Better to get a basic physiology text.

A fantastic book that takes your through the basics of human movement as well as topics like - the way a person's mind effects movement as well. Probably the most useful and approachable book about the human body I've read. The extra boxes with info and tips are also filled with info that extends the edges of the books focus. (Decided to buy a copy of this for my own.)
