From the New York Times bestselling author of the Wings of Fire series, Tui T. Sutherland, and her sister, Kari Sutherland, comes the Menagerie series, perfect for fans of Brandon Mull's Fablehaven series and The Spiderwick Chronicles.

In the small town of Xanadu, Wyoming lies the Menagerie, a top secret facility filled with unicorns, dragons, phoenixes, and other fairy tale creatures. At least, it was a secret--until six griffin cubs escaped.

If Logan and Zoe don't get the cubs back fast, the entire Menagerie will be shut down. The race is on and the resulting adventure is only the beginning of a thrilling series that will leave readers wanting a magical menagerie of their very own.

Menagerie is Book One of the juvenile fiction series Menagerie. It is suitable for 10-12 year-old reluctant readers or those who enjoy adventures and mysteries. The story is about Logan, who's mother abandoned him. His dad and him move to Xanadu, Wyoming from Chicago to try to find her. While his dad is busy adjusting to his new job, Logan finds himself with lots of free time to run around the small rural town. After finding a baby griffin hiding under his bed, Logan has an encounter with two mysterious schoolmates, he is led to a secret park where unicorns, sphinxes and griffins live and an exciting journey commences. I would highly recommend this book for young readers who have an affinity for the magical and other worlds.

This was an absolutely excellent book! Being a fan of Tui T Sutherland's Wings of Fire Series, I had to get my hands on this book after I heard it came out. Wonderful story, great characters, and fun-loving animals await you in this book. If you love animals, you'll love this.

This children’s novel brims with fun, tension and a genuine love for animals (even if they’re only mythical ones). The characters in it are very appealing, especially the mythical beasts, each with their own distinct personality. There are adventure, danger, mystery and surprises galore. It’s the start of a series; the cliffhanger ending leaves no possibility of this being a one-shot book. You just simply have to read more to find out what happens to these magical beasts.
