Unlike most posters, we thought this a very good movie. It was NOT a typical shoot-em-up, bang-bang sort of thing. It had a plot, no holes and very interesting, developed characters that were brought alive by decent actors. It IS very violent however and certainly gruesome, not for the faint of heart. Had us turning in circles too. Decent Saturday night flick and well worth watching if you want to think a little.

It was the stupidest, unnecessarily violent movie I've seen in long time. I do not understand how Nicolas Cage could allow his participation.

One of Nicholas Cage's personal best IMHO. Rage is an intense "revenge is a dish best served cold" crime thriller that doesn't resort to the same typical plot cliches as others of its kind tend to do. As one of the guys before me said, this one doesn't end on a happy ending but it does make you question whether the fleeting feeling of criminal satisfaction is worth all the grief and misery that years of keeping it secret will tax you with.

I normally hate unhappy endings but with Rage, it almost seems appropriate to end it on a sour note, if only to demonstrate the old adage that "you reap what you sow" is definitely something you should keep in mind if you ever decide to do evil in the world.

Haunting and mesmerizing, and highly recommended.

Typical Nick cage film. Not much else to say.

Better than many Nick Cage movies during the past few years.

Some people might be disappointed by the ``downer`` ending. Well, that`s tragedy, folks! And that`s what this is...and it`s a good one, very interesting to see. three and a half stars.

The protagonist and his buds were annoyingly slow to recognize their real enemies and blindly focused down a bloody dead end, might be destiny to pay for their sins from the old days.

This movie cements Nicolas Cage's descend into career oblivion. Very bad. Don't watch.

Danny: Paulie, I've always been loyal.
Paul: You've always been an idiot!

Paul Maguire: I want to find her. I want to find who took her, and...
Danny: They're dead, Paulie. They just don't know it yet, right?

Kane: This could get dirty, so just how deep do you want this to go?
Paul: How deep is hell?
