President Donald J. Trump lays out his professional and personal worldview in this classic work--a firsthand account of the rise of America's foremost deal-maker.

"I like thinking big. I always have. To me it's very simple: If you're going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big."--Donald J. Trump

Here is Trump in action--how he runs his organization and how he runs his life--as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks--really talks--about how he does it. Trump: The Art of the Deal is an unguarded look at the mind of a brilliant entrepreneur--the ultimate read for anyone interested in the man behind the spotlight.

Trump didn't write this book. He doesn't know how to make a deal, like his failure to secure one with North Korea. He does know how to compromise himself, sexually assault women, collude with Russia and mobilize racists to vote for him.

I read the commments, clearly as would expect-along political lines: Those for the man were quick to judge the negative comments. Those against were quick to judge the man. My words, as unbiased as they may try to be will likely draw similar scorn but just sticking to the book itself. It is a rather poor read and does not really lend any insight into, what I imagined was the authors intent, deal making. I myself am interested in international business, wherein America’s past and future progress lies. This book does nothing there. I personally do not see anything rem arkable in the man and this book only confirms that. I certainly would have passed on purchasing the book within the first few pages. That said there are plenty of empty books like this no matter the political spectrum.

I'm one of those who will comment without finishing the book. I used to edit business and technology books professionally. I could not waste my time on something so poorly written and printed. It looked like a cheap take-away copy you'd get at a conference session. It had no insights to offer beyond a kind of obsessive persistence. I can't believe anyone established a reputation on such thin evidence of negotiating ability.

BEWARE OF THE MODERN DAY BOOKBURNERS

First they came with their negative comments (clearly most NOT having read the book)
Then they will come after those that read the book
And then...

If you have even a passing interest in presidential politics this is a worthwhile read. It helped me better understand his negotiating style. Agree or disagree with his politics he has been very effective so far in achieving his real objectives.

The most successful people I have ever know or learned about have failed often and learned from their experiences. Trump is no different. Biggest losers are AFRAID to take risks and resort to putting others down. SMH

Upon reading this book, one gains insight on how Donald Trump provides his experiences on how to make deals in obtaining permission to begin construction projects and how to deal with the those who are skeptical on getting it done. He also provides knowledge on how to deal with those who take it upon themselves to prevent both the deal and the construction project from being completed. Anyone who wants to learn on how to create a service and keep it running and successful should definitely read this book.

He didn't even write this book.

Trump paid a ghostwriter, by the name of Tony Schwartz to write it for him.

I was recently given the opportunity to "edit" my comment after it was deemed "offensive" by members of the SPL community.

In an attempt to justify the statement I made, I refer any doubters to read the article in which the real author of 'Art of the Deal' (Tony Schwartz) relates writing it for our current "president." The article is in the July 25, 2016 copy of the New Yorker.

My statement is neither opinion nor is it propaganda. Is the term "the sky is blue" offensive? Perhaps to some. The fact is, Donald Trump did not write this book. And I am not confident, based on the evidence this conclusion was formed upon, that he wrote any of the others that are credited to him.

Below you will find the article which inspired my "offensive" comment, though I doubt Trump's supporters will bother reading it...
