this one i thought was a little bit weird instead of "So You Want to be a Jedi?", the previous book in this three author saga. It gets into a little more depth with the scenes of Jabba's palace, the first fight with Darth Vader, and the Ewok village. It was crazy

Of the three novelizations, this is the one that sticks closest to the script. Well written and fast-paced.

The re-telling of Return of the Jedi, Beware the Power of the Dark Side! is an entertaining, enjoyable book for young readers. It has illustrations throughout the book and an effective writing style that sucks the reader into the Star Wars universe. Beware the Power of the Dark Side! tells the final chapter of Luke Skywalker and his friends: Leia Organa, Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, C-3PO, and R2-D2 as they begin their final attack on the Empire. For audiences ages 8 to 12. I give it 8/10.

Sometimes when you read a book from a licensed property you think "Man, this writer really gets [insert property here]". THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE! Angleberger - Origami Yoda - gets Star Wars. It's not only a great introduction to the story but fills in some gaps (you won't look at Ewoks the same way again) and has enough masterful trolling of the Lucas Special Editions to satisfy long-term fans that Angleberger knows what he is talking about. There is a colossal amount of Star Wars books and comics being released but this, along with Claudia Grey's Lost Stars, are the two must-reads.
