In the dead of night, three raging fires light up the city skies. It's more than a tragic coincidence. For DI Helen Grace the flames announce the arrival of an evil she has never encountered before.

Because this is no firestarter seeking sick thrills, but something more chilling- a series of careful, calculating acts of murder.

But why were the victims chosen? What's driving the killer? And who will be next?

A powder keg of fear, suspicion and dread has been laid. Now all it needs is a spark to set it off . . .

Arson isn't my cup of tea so I wasn't able to get into this one. Never finished it either...but I've read all of the others in the series and enjoyed them this one just didn't do it for me.

This series is so good you will not want to put this book down. Helen Grace is a very interesting character - certainly not what you would expect to find in this genre. She has a hidden and lonely past and different "hobby" to get rid of her stress. This book took many twists and turns as they searched for the arsonist in this town. Be prepared to be up late when reading this and you will be searching for the first books in this series. Now I wait for the next one due in the fall. Enjoy.....
