Billions offers up a witch's brew of hedgies, flat earth caliber politicos, government shysters, union flunkeys, reporter tools, practitioners of kinky rumpy pumpy ... in other words, largely today's society. Fear not financial jargon, only simple equities are shuffled around. Nice reality touch towards the end of season 1. When the Axelrods have hired a long range jet with military grade pilots to fly them under the radar (literally) to their destination, they have the gold wafers and currency bundles ready in the cellar. For anything digital can be tracked, diverted, confiscated; in essence, digital handcuffs. Take note fantasist cryptocurrency proselytizers.
