The documentary provides an intimate look at Heath Ledger through the lens of his own camera as he films and often performs in his own personal journey. It was his creative energy and unshakable willingness to take risks that instilled such an extraordinary deep love and affection in the people that entered his life.

This was an extreme puff piece most likely financed by Ledger's family. It essentially whitewashes the length and extent of Ledger's addiction, which ultimately killed him. Ledger died with an extreme amount of drugs in his system that have been labeled prescription but some reports claim Ledger had no prescription for. Michelle Williams' did not participate and Ledger's relationship with her was glossed over, even though reports state the reason for their breakup was his drug use and refusal to stop or attend rehab. This whitewashing of a serious addict is a disservice to society. Someone wrote an interesting article about both Brad Renfro and Ledger dying at the same time, both being good actors; while Ledger was lauded and Renfro ignored by the academy. Not all addicts have as low as a bottom as Renfro, some die at the top of their game, like Ledger, but in the end the result is the same. In addition, it was pretty clear that Ledger most likely also suffered from long periods of extreme mania.

Michael Jackson, Judy Garland and Heath Ledger all died from drugs and all complained of problems with sleeping. When this happens, it's really a red flag that this person's life is in danger. It's too bad that the family didn't put this message out rather than this glossed over piece of half factual posthumous press release farce we have here.

The one positive I took away from this one-sided documentary is that Ledger really was a talented individual in more arenas than just acting and obviously a really caring, thoughtful individual, good friend and person with a big heart. It's really unfortunate he's gone, as now so much has gone with him too.

This documentary lends little insight to the average viewer but if you're a real Heath Ledger fan, you'll love it nonetheless.

If you are a Heath Ledger fan, and wish to learn more about him, then you will. However, as a documentary, I found it disappointing, more like a "lives of saints" treatment. Only a fleeting reference to the demons that he wrestled, and lots of gushing praise.

This was a very well done documentary. Heath was a great actor, really studied the craft and pursued it with a high competency. Highly recommend this movie to get a little insight on his life and method.

I gained more insight about this actor, always sad to lose a young person life to drugs.

A touching story of Heath Ledgers artistic journey. Showing how his love for life and people helped fuel his passion and creativity, thus; inspiring those around him along the way.

It was really great to see the journey that this person took in their life and how their hard work and talent got developed and recognised. In many ways he was lucky and he knew it, so he paid it forward to those that were important to him. It's unfortunate that his restlessness eventually consumed him, but his memory will live on in his art and the people who knew him.

I was leery of how this documentary began, with a lot of Heath Ledger's home footage, but it gets much better. The home footage was giving me flashbacks to Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, which I did not enjoy. I'm glad I stuck with this one though. I had admired Heath Ledger's acting, but I had no idea how multitalented he was. I Am Heath Ledger is a respectful and very good tribute.
