Super bad. Sci-fi movie without any logic. It seems the writer wrote with an ending in mind, unfortunately he did not have the capability to narrate a coherent story to the ending.

Imaginative and engaging. The genre has suffered with lame-brain movies like "Arrival", and several other snooze fests.

If you liked "Martian" and "Gravity", you might enjoy this.

Disappointing. Its a stupid horror flick in space. It reminded me too much of "Alien".

I was expecting a sci-fi horror movie. Instead, I got a ludicrously stupid science-fiction joke. I give it half a star for the fantastic CGI (except the zero-G which is mostly terrible). And to think this astoundingly terrible excuse for a movie was written by the same two guys that wrote the astoundingly funny Deadpool movie!

Ryan Reynolds gets killed off first, which is ironic since they use the Canadarm to start the whole mess (no, it wouldn't work like that, you'd just break it), and then quote "High Flight" (although, from the dialogue, it's obvious they think Reagan wrote it himself).

Way too many errors to list (and it would involve too many spoilers). And the surprise ending isn't.

Nope. This was a waste of time. I felt like I was watching an amateur sci-fi movie, and even though there are some big names in this, it didn't help. Skip.

Pretty good movie, very suspenseful. Recommend.

This was so disappointing. Idiots on a ship who make stupid decisions and an alien that has no personality or interesting characteristics. It just likes blood. Bad science fiction and only mediocre horror and pathetically negligible intrigue. Wish I could get back the time wasted on this.

a thousand times stronger than humans (at least), immune to the vacuum of space, able to use tools (apparently from birth), 100% efficient feeding/growth cycle, able to freely move in zero G, unaffected by fire. All of this neatly described in one sentence - "...every cell is brain, muscle and sensory organ." And total nonsense. Add to this our super-brilliant best-and-brightest that do dumb things throughout. Good special effects don't save this from eventually just being annoying. Also, the completely unsurprising "surprise" ending was comparable to a very bad episode of The Outer Limits.

Despite being largely derivative of the Aliens franchise, I enjoyed LIFE quite a lot. The special effects are very good and the plot keeps its foot on the gas. It does nothing to bend the sci-fi horror genre, but it stands as a firm representative of it. Ryan Reynolds doesn't fit into the cast, but that's likely my bias...I hear Deadpool whenever he speaks now. I suppose that's some sort of compliment.
