Mathias Mitchell's easy smile hides a world of hurt. After the worst kind of betrayal, he moved from Fool's Gold to Happily Inc, California with the brother he once thought was his twin. The wedding destination town supplies a steady stream of bridesmaids, perfect for his "no promises, no pain" lifestyle. Why then, can't he stop watching for his beautiful, elusive neighbour every morning on the animal preserve behind their homes? As a biologist, gamekeeper Carol Lund knows she isn't special enough to attract an alpha male like Mathias. But when he offers to help adopt a herd for her lonely giraffe, late nights together tempt him into her bed.

The second novel features Carol, the gamekeeper, and artist Mathias Mitchell. The chemistry between the two characters wasn't as strong and felt forced and rushed a bit at times. The best parts were with the giraffes. It is fun fluffy light read, but nothing special.

***I received an eARC from EDELWEISS and NETGALLEY***

I enjoyed this book especially because of the giraffe and the animal preserve.

This was definitely the best book so far in the Happily Inc. series, involved all the brothers and the parents, plus the friends and although it is fiction was real insight into human relationships and what can happen in families.
