This was my first time reading Robyn's work and I found her storytelling captivating & enticing. The character development & understanding of human nature not only in adults but also teens were very on point and taut with drama. A juicy read while enjoying the warm breezes of a Spring sun.

I found it very difficult to like any of the characters in this book. The adults are self-absorbed, the teenagers are cruel, mean and vindictive the only one that was at all likeable was the young son, Aidan. I read 'Her Pretty Face" by the same author and enjoyed the book, this one was a disappointment.

I don't know what happened with this book. I read "Her Pretty Face" by the same author and LOVED it. This book was a disaster. The characters were so awful, whiney, and the ending was horribly put together. I literally despised the characters based on how they were portrayed in the book.

This book was pretty awful. I'm not exaggerating when I say that ALL of the characters are intolerable, save maybe one of the teenage girls, Ronni. The ending is rushed and left me feeling like I just wasted like 5 hours reading it. If you like snobby, rich, money-hungry adults with no empathy and the most vapid teenage girls, you will enjoy this book, but I doubt those two character archetypes seem appealing to most people. I guess if the theme of the novel was money isn't everything and rich snobs suck, the book did a great job delivering that sentiment.

Very entertaining, full of drama and quite the page turner.

On one hand the story seemed superficial with your upper white class suburban family and the haughty teens. The birthday sleepover with the four girls sneaking booze and drugs seemed trite..... On the other hand it was thought provoking akin to the series "13 Reasons Why" - a story about a teenager and the subtle and overt bullying that resulted from teen small mindedness and inconsideration that had severe consequences. Shallow maybe but with hidden innuendos between the lines.

The perfect family unravels after a disastrous 16th birthday party. Sounds like normal to me!

I enjoyed this book. I was sucked into the story and drama immediately. A light suspense with more drama than darkness. A great summer read that just might get you thinking about what you would do in this situation.

This book pulls you in instantly. The pace and unexpected twists and turns keep you locked on the story leading up to Hannah's Sweet Sixteen and the aftermath that is left in its wake.
