The Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Audiobook CD - 2007
Initially, when townspeople start gossiping about friends and family not acting like themselves, Miles chalks it up to overactive imaginations. But when he witnesses these changes himself, however, he becomes convinced that something is awry. His frightful realization is followed up with classic sci-fi imagery, replete with alien seed-pods and faceless corpses.

Add a CommentIt is dated in the alien, sci-fi genre. I fully admit I probably don't fully appreciate it being an important book for this genre. It felt liked a so-so Twilight Zone episode. I never saw the movie, but I think I will now.
I've listened to this book several times. Great characters. I felt for Miles and Becky and all the town's people. I even felt sorry for the poor aliens. All living things just want to survive.
