One spring day in 1949 Barbara Kingscote climbed on the back of her liile black mare. Zazy and rode from Quebec to British Columbia. She carried $200, 3 maps, a camera, camping gear, an otat bag, a rifle and sandwiches. For 16 mths, She relied on the kindness of strangers, courage and a sense of humour to cross the wild and magnificent land.
