Whoever said this was racist needs to stop whining and look at the country they live in: Canada is full of racism and usually white Canadians are the least open-minded, like so many people I grew up with. I'm white so I know and wasn't offended one bit. First Indo-Canadian gangster film with Sikh mobsters that I've ever seen. It's gotten a lot of bad reviews maybe because the director is famous for beautiful and humane stories. This is a story about gangsters and they are not nice people and yes they are racist. White characters in many movies have racist lines, but who complains about that? I felt the racism is totally honest and not out of place; it reflects the racism white Canadians have inflicted on the Indo-Canadian community as we do to all non-whites; and it makes only sense they would give back what they get. It's about time other voices were represented and heard. Check your intolerance at the door and if you enjoy violent gangster films then check it out. Also it's one of those rare movies that's filmed in Vancouver and it's supposed to take place in Vancouver as well, highlighting some of the local culture
